Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with a background in machining Railway Components.

Our ideal candidate possesses the following experience:

  • CNC Machining
  • Manual machining
  • Writing Programs with G Code
  • Vulcan 3100 HD Plasma Cutting
  • Mastercam X4
  • Writing own programs
  • Set up
  • Ensuring efficiency in the machining process 
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate a computer 
  •

Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Set up and operate machines as instructed
  • Independently set up and operate one or more classes of machining operations, including:
    • Milling
    • Punching
    • Drilling
    • Tooling
  • Provide machining operations expertise within the facility
  • Develop manufacturing sketches per sample part
  • Conduct all inspection functions
  • Establish and implement ways to reduce set-up times for machining.
  • Develop methods / processes to reduce manufacturing cycle times
  • Work with machine tool suppliers to establish productivity improvement ideas that can be executed
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity in labor and data reporting
